One Poem
by Gunnar Lundberg
Kissing You
The hawk swallows
A frog whole
Flippers out the beak
Wave like children
When my Dad stripped
Training wheels from my bike
I rode off a retaining wall
And into the drink
A newlywed couple scooped
Me out. And bought me
Peppermint ice cream
I licked the wound clean
Climbed out the gullet
And back into the saddle
The wife cried a bit when
I waved them goodbye
And kept on
