Submissions for the special issue are open.
Special issue reading period: July 15 – November 1

• Frozen Sea is putting together a special issue featuring new work inspired by the work of previous contributors.

• We're thinking of this as an ekphrastic challenge: people will submit poetry and art inspired by any previous work in Frozen Sea. We have asked previous contributors to design prompts based on the work they've published in Frozen Sea. You can find these prompts on our Instagram and on this page below.

• We'll consider submissions from anyone who creates work inspired by a previous Frozen Sea contribution, regardless of if a prompt has been created for it. However—the submission must be inspired, in some way, by a previous Frozen Sea contribution.

• Please let us know in an email to editor [at] frozensea.org if a piece in your submission has been accepted elsewhere. If you do submit a piece you’ve created for this call elsewhere, please make sure to reference which Frozen Sea contribution inspired your new piece (for example: adding an ‘after …’ line below the title).

• The special issue will publish on December 15.
